In it you will find some examples of my etchings currently in edition.  I hope you like them, all the prints are hand-printed and hand-coloured in strict editions of 60 with 6 artist's proofs.

About my work.

My work has a strong illustrative quality. They are freeze frames of an incident that I might have seen or heard, developed via the imagination and committed to the etching plate.

The inclusion of people in my etchings often helps create the title, chance encounter, a moment of unbridled passion, an amusement of one sort or another.

Images are first drawn very loosely in sketchbooks. Back in my workshop the image is refined/altered to fit the narrative I wish to print, often adding or subtracting elements which I think create the desired composition.  The process itself is what first gives rise not only to the imagery, but to the way in which it is envisaged, interpreted, developed and finally presented.
